C-E-L-E-B-R-A-T-I-O-N

This is always my favorite time of year...always has been, always will be. Only now that I've had kids of my own and two of them have birthday's two days apart, it just adds to the excitement. This year we had the pleasure of having Dale's parents visit the weekend before Thanksgiving. We enjoyed their company, celebrated the boys' birthdays a few days early, and had a yummy Thanksgiving Dinner with them on Sunday afternoon.
Thanksgiving Day we had the pleasure of my family joining us for another yummy turkey meal, along with a few birthday celebrations. Then on Saturday, we celebrated yet another birthday. Devin had a special outing to the Build-a-bear store (thanks Grandma) to pick out his very own build-a-bear. He was thrilled when he spotted the Darth Vader bear and knew instantly that was the one for him!! Of course, what is a birthday without cake. Giving his bear a shower.
THANKS Grandma!! I love it!!
Since I love to make cakes, I let the kids pick whatever theme they want. This year, Devin picked Mickey!
Devin Turned 4 two days after Kaiden's Birthday. He was SO excited to be 4 years old...cause that's the magical age to go to school...however he still has to wait! Bummer for him! Hard to believe he's 4 aleady
(but NOT until after he ate his cake he informed us)

KAIDEN'S PARTY
After playing "musical pass the bag of clothes" game...the boys posed for their group picture. A few of them were less than thrilled to be wearing girl clothes, let alone pose for a picture. :)Kaiden had a "sports" theme birthday this year...so I made these cookies as his treat for his class. Then after school 14 little boys descended upon my house.

Kaiden is 8 today!!! (Thanksgiving Day this year!)
VISIT WITH GRANDPA and GRANDMA
Granda's Girl
Celebrating the boys birthday's at Chuckee Cheese with Grandpa and Grandma.

And of course we couldn't pass up early Christmas festivities (at least the decorating part) with Grandpa and Grandma. We had a great visit....and wish it could have been longer! We miss you!
So despite the hecticness of the holidays, birthday celebrations etc...we have so much to be thankful for. I am now sitting back in the warmth of my home, decorated with the lights of Christmas, candles burning, listening to the giggles of the children (at at times longing for the quietness of the evenings) thanking God for so many things!
~Remember to always thank God for the little things in life~

Wow! Your cakes amaze me! The cookies were pretty impressive too! Birthdays are so fun, but it's also nice when they are over and you can relax a little bit! (Until the next one comes along!)

Happy birthday to Devin and Kaiden and an early Happy Birthday to Dale! You definitely have a busy last week of November/early December! Hopefully you can find some time now to relax and just enjoy the season!! That is my plan - for at least the next little bit!
