End of school fun!

The kids always look forward to field day at the end of school.  The kids from grades 1-4 are put onto mixed teams...Red, White, Blue...and this year I was able to be a team leader for my kids.  An afternoon filled with a variety of games...and lots of fun was had by all the kids!

 In second grade, the students are rewarded with a Luau party at the end of the year if they meet all their required reading projects.  They get to dress up, play fun games and have some fun hawaiin snacks.  Sometimes the mom's even get to dress up.  Thanks to my mom for saving her Hawaiian dress from about 35+ years ago.  It was a hit again this year!

We finished school with mixed emotions.  The kids had such a great year and loved their teachers and will miss them over the summer.  As much as I look forward to having them home for the summer I am sad to see time go so quickly with each passing school year.  We are so blessed to be part of such an amazing school with such loving teachers.
